New Chess Club in Verrado!

There is a new club in town!  Simba Dojo is hosting a free chess club as part of the services to the Verrado Community.  Yes we encourage our karate patrons to play the ancient game of chess, which teaches strategy, concentration, problem solving and a host of other benefits!  It is truly a game in which all the world's great warriors play.

What's in a name?  The name of our new club is Knights of Verdad!  We were looking for a special name that honored both our community and our martial arts club.  I read in an article on the internet that Verrado (C) was derived from the Spanish word Verdad which means truth.  The word Verrado (C) is a copyrighted name that we could not freely use without a lot of red tape, but we still wanted to give our community and residents honor as well as the warrior spirit of our members of Simba Dojo.

You don't have to be a member of Simba Dojo to play Chess!  Though we are indeed starting the club and sponsoring at least one night per week, we do not require membership to our karate club.  The Knights of Verdad is separate, but also an extension of our philosophy of the martial arts.  It is our intention to keep membership free and open to all ages.  The only requirement is that you bring your own chess board and wear a mask!

When and Where?  Every Monday at 5:30 to 6:30 pm at:

The Center on Main™ in Verrado®
4239 N Village Street
Buckeye, AZ 85396, US
