Meet Sensei CC, Co-Founder of Simba Dojo! Sensei CC originally studied Shotokan karate in Kenya, Africa where she grew up. She studied hard and diligently excelling in her art. Because she showed much potential, she was selected to train with some of the more prominent instructors in Kenya. CC represented Kenya in many competitions and events outside her home country and became a celebrity in her own right. She has appeared on television and received news coverage following her throughout her career. She became the first person in Kenya to ever receive her black belt by the Japan Karate Association, also known as JKA. The Japan Karate Association is the most distinctive and largest martial art association in Japan. She opened her own dojo in Germany where she taught before moving to Arizona in the United States and became a citizen. She has taught in several local dojos in Buckeye, Glendale and Goodyear. Eventually she settled down in the beautiful Verrado® Community where she now teaches.
