These patches were originally made as an alternative to the embroidery. These have the Simba Dojo Kanji meaning "Lion Spirit" writen in simplified Chinese script. If you prefer we still have patches available so that you can apply them to a less expensive gi that you purchased or one you already had. These patches were designed so they look like they are embroidered onto the fabric through the die cut design. They to have an iron on backing on them for easy placement. The problem is that because the surface area of the design is so small the glue will not hold for more than a couple of washes. The recommended application is to first Iron them into place, then stitch them into the fabric to make it permanent. Carefully stitching these patches is the only way to go, otherwise you will end up in a big dissapointemt
