Why don't you provide a free gi like I seen other schools advertise?
There are several reasons we do not include a "free" gi upon enrollment:
-
No Hidden Costs or Long-Term Contracts: Schools that offer a "free" uniform often require long-term contracts, quietly rolling the cost of the gi—and then some—into your recurring tuition. We operate without long-term contracts and work hard to keep our tuition rates as low and transparent as possible.
-
Superior Quality Over Cheap Promotions: Promotional giveaway uniforms are typically cheap, bulk-purchased items meant to serve as advertisements rather than durable training gear. We prefer our students to train in uniforms that are built to last.
-
Choice and Value: Gis range widely in quality and price—from $15 budget options to $400 traditional Japanese uniforms. While you certainly do not need to spend hundreds of dollars for a high-quality uniform, we want to help you find the best balance of comfort, durability, and value.
Before purchasing your first gi, we recommend speaking with an instructor so we can help guide you toward the right fit and quality for your training needs.
